In 1955 Lee and Angelina designed their family home on one of the last available lots in Northwest Glendale. Lee sold fruits and vegetables both wholesale and retail in Glendale and this large flat lot afforded him the opportunity to grow much of his produce at home. Angelina loved to cook so she designed her dream cook's kitchen with lots of natural light and plenty of storage. The largest avocado tree is one of a kind as Lee grafted a variety of Russell avocado onto another base. The tree produces two different avocados, a large variety that grows to about 12 inches in length and a small pickle type of avocado. Besides a prolific crop of avocados, there are 2 orange trees (sweet and juicy!), a lemon tree and a grapefruit tree. This home still remains in the family and has been lovingly card for since 1955.
